The Community Foundation Serving Greeley and Weld County promotes philanthropy to build resources, develops partnerships and provides leadership that will be of lasting benefit to our communities.

Program Summary

Program Summary:

The Community Foundation is still fulfilling what it began in 1972 by accepting gifts from individuals, companies, and organizations and investing them. The foundation takes those invested gifts and disburses a portion of the interest and earnings as grants to charitable nonprofit agencies and programs to meet the needs of the community. The Community Foundation has over 110 endowment, scholarship, agency, special project and pass-through funds. Last year, nearly $1 million was distributed in grants, scholarships and program support.

The following is part of a story shared with us by a Littler Youth Fund Teacher mini-grant recipient: I taught Sergio as a freshman. He turned in very little work and spent more time avoiding learning than sitting still. Suffice to say, I was shocked he enrolled in journalism as a junior.
