Mission Statement

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Program Summary

Low Income Affordable Homeownership Program

Habitat is a HOMEOWNERSHIP program designed to give low-income families the opportunity to purchase a home. Through volunteer labor and the generous donation of money and materials, we build simple decent homes with qualified partner families. Homes are then SOLD to the partner family at zero profit and financed with a zero percent interest loan. Homeowner's monthly mortgage payments are then used to build additional Habitat homes.

Wish List

-Bilingual volunteers who can commit to serving as a mentor for approved partner families (Spanish speaking, must own a home)
-Lunch donors to prepare food for volunteer work groups (groups range from 5-30 people)
-Sponsors for Greeley Habitat Calendar
-Volunteer knowledgable about retail store layout who can commit to training ReStore staff

Client Story

Olga, a single mother with three children, was sharing a three bedroom mobile home (only two bedrooms usable in winter) with another family of four. Her monthly rent was over 40% of her income. Her Habitat home consists of three bedrooms, five other rooms, and a nice yard. Her monthly payments (including taxes and insurance) are less that 19% of her gross income.
