The City of Fort Lupton Recreation Department was provided a grant which will help them sponsor a free evening at the Recreation Center. The free nights begin June 2 and will occur each Friday, from 5-8 until August 4. During these times, the center is open at no charge for anyone interested in enjoying the facility.
A range of activities are available including swimming, use of the fitness/cardio area, activities in the gymnasium and use of the teen room, running track. The Recreation Department is providing full staffing for the event and the entire community has been warmly invited to "come out and play".
The Community Foundation Serving Greeley (CFSGWC) and Weld County and its affiliate fund, the Fort Lupton Community Foundation, are thrilled to be supporting this series of activities. In May, Lauren Weber Programs Officer at CFSGWC and Mariann Johnston who is on the board of CFSGWC and the Fort Lupton Foundation presented the grant check to the Fort Lupton Recreation District.
