Littler Youth Fund awards $73,164 for youth programs

The Community Foundation Serving Greeley and Weld County recently announced grants totaling $73,164 from the Littler Youth Fund. This is the Fund’s 129th distribution to various youth-oriented programs to support hundreds of youth throughout Greeley and Weld County. Grants awarded include:

  • Assistance League of Greeley - Operation School Bell 
  • Colorado Model Railroad Museum  - Youth STEAM program
  • Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra - Rising Stars programWeld Food Bank Kids Backpack program
  • Immigrant and Refugee Center of Northern Colorado - Immigrant & Refugee Youth Bikes & Recreation program
  • Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy - CASA of Weld County
  • Poudre Learning Center Foundation - Well Watch program
  • Salida del Sol Academy Foundation - Book Trust program
  • Soccer Without Borders - After-School program
  • Weld Food Bank - Kids Backpack program 
  • Youth Empowerment Group - PowerUp for Middle School program

The Littler Youth Fund, an endowment with the Community Foundation, was established in 1972 by Hubert and Mary Littler for the benefit of youth in Weld County. Since 1986 when the Fund began making quarterly distributions, it has made grants to hundreds of youth programs totaling more than $3.4 million.  A committee made up of Community Foundation Board Members, community members and local high school students reviews each application.
