Thank You to our Profiles 2017 Sponsors

The Community Foundation Serving Greeley and Weld County is proud to have spent two decades providing philanthropic services throughout Weld County. We are excited to take time at this year's Profiles Luncheon to celebrate this milestone with many of the individuals and organizations that have been by our sides since our founding. It goes without saying that we are grateful to all of the sponsors, at every level of support, that have partnered with us for the luncheon.

As part of their sponsorship benefits, we asked our Presenting and Community-level sponsors about ways that their organizations participate in the community. Below is some of the information that they have shared with us:

Presenting Sponsor Denver Investments

"As an independent, employee-owned firm, Denver Investments believes strongly in giving back to the community in which we live and work.  Two current examples are participating in home builds for Habitat for Humanity (see photo) and tutoring children learning to read with an organization called Reading Partners.  There is also a formal program called “DIG” which stands for “Denver Investments Gives”, and through that process, any employee can propose community service projects and other philanthropic endeavors.  Denver Investments has benefitted much by living here in Colorado and raising families, and we feel passionately about giving back to this community using DIG projects."  -- Denver Investments

Community Sponsor Anadarko Petroleum

"Community is at the center of our lives. Anadarko employees live in the neighborhoods where we operate. We believe that being a good neighbor not only means operating safely and responsibly but to invest and give back to the communities where we live, work and raise our families." -- Anadarko Petroleum Vice President, Rockies Operations, Craig Walters.

Burris Company, Inc. is a local success story. Founded in Greeley in 1971, today it is one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of quality sporting optics in the US and the world, with the Burris and Steiner brands. Burris Company endeavors to be an active member of the community by supporting a wide variety of charitable, community, and business development organizations and events.  For example, the company proudly sponsors the Greeley Stampede, and the Greeley Chamber of Commerce, and supports charities such as Weld Food Bank,  Right to Read, Greeley Transitional House, and the American Cancer Society, among many others. The company also encourages its employees to support the community through donation matching and paid time off for volunteer hours.
